The Missing Piece

I believe that each one of us were born with Jesus-shaped-holes in our hearts. Humans are wired for connection:::made for deep personal relationship with our Creator God.

In any and all
unfinished. incomplete. works-in-progress. stories-yet-unfolding. read:: living human beings

Jesus Christ himself is the answer/the completion/the consummation (perfection & fulfillment) of all.

Ephesians 1:23, NLT "And the church is his body; it is made full and complete by Christ, who fills all things everywhere with himself."

Ephesians 4:10, ESV "He who descended is the one who also ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things.

Praise God, Jesus makes our hearts whole.

Psalm 23:1 I shall not want. I have all that I need. I lack nothing. Jesus is enough!!

Lord I confess that despite my head knowledge of this truth^, my heart often feels ungrateful. dissatisfied. loudly void of the fruits of your Spirit: peace, love, joy+                                       as evidenced by my grumbling lips and malcontent thought-life. Indeed, out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks.

THANK YOU for the cross, Lord. For loving us so much that you moved (and continually move) towards us in compassion.

Keep us hungry for you alone. Lord, we believe. Help our unbelief. Truly you are the missing piece who fills all in all. We hope, wait, watch & groan for your return. Come, Lord Jesus. Take us home. May we prove faithful today in all that you call us to. All for your glory! AMEN
