God Remembers Our Prayers (Even When We Don't)
As we enter election season and the pandemic shows no sign of stopping, I think that we might all be in need of hearing some good news.
Ever listened to Best News by MercyMe?
Lyrics: “It’s not good news, it’s the best news ever."
The GOSPEL truly is the best news ever.
Google defines "Gospel" as
1)The teaching or revelation of Christ
2) the record of Jesus' life and teaching in the first four books of the New Testament
and
"euangelion" is the classical Greek word for the "good news"
HE LIVES!

So this happened today:
Just as I reached out for and picked up my crying son today with a "shhhh, Momma's got you," God picked me up in my fretting mess of a mind and comforted me with the following encounter.
I read Matthew 7: 11 (NIV) from my Journal Bible
“If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!”
beside this text, was something I’d written
“9/11/19 #2 + LH strip Please LORD, if it be your will, place baby #2 (healthy boy :) ) in my womb this week.”
Notice the date 9/11/19. The Lord reminded me today that I said this prayer while unknowingly already pregnant with a healthy boy :) - Griffin. He is 4 months old today and 16+ pounds of good health.
Notice the specificity of my request being “this week.” It was one week, to the day (9/18/19), that I peed on a stick and saw the first: +
I do not recall writing this, or even praying it. Yet here it is! In my own handwriting, black&white. While I had forgotten petitioning God with this request- He is faithful & He remembered my prayer.
Today, a year later, I came across this text while holding Griffin in my arms. God Speaks. He spoke to me today in the above shared way. Expect Him! God is here with us now in this wilderness marked by uncertainty. He is with you in your personal struggles. Nothing surprises God.
HE IS GOOD
ALL THE TIME
&
HE IS FAITHFUL
There it is, Dear One. Be encouraged! Walk on in faith.
Remember to
Ask. Seek. Knock
Seek
Knock
“That’s my wall of remembrance…I look back at all these answered prayers. It reminds me that God’s still in control. It encourages me.”- Movie, War Room
For this child I have prayed
1st Samuel 1:27
