Daughter of the Most High King

My sister is an amazing "Auntie Kris" to all of her nieces and nephews. We are so blessed by who she is and how she loves. The following is one of the sweetest missional acts of gifting and discipleship that I have ever seen:

We celebrated our daughter's fourth birthday last month. Kristina arrived at our home with arms full of birthday treats and a beautiful bouquet of flowers. After greeting us all warmly, here is the conversation that ensued between Kris and our then-3-year-old.

Daughter of the Most High King

K: Aubree I got you some flowers for your birthday! I want you to remember that you are loved and beautiful in God’s eyes and mine.

K: Muffin, I have a question for you: What makes a princess a princess???

A: Hmm, her MAGIC?! ✨✨✨

K: Good guess but not quite. What else?

A: Her pretty DRESS?! 👗

K: Haha, good guess again but no. I’ll give you a hint, why is your last name McKee?

A: Because my mom and dad.

K: Great job! Yes, that’s right. Who your father is means a lot about who you are. Just like you have your mom and dads last name princesses get their title from their dad! Are you a princess?

A: I think so?

K: Yes you are! Your Heavenly Father is the Most High King and He has adopted you as His child, therefore, YES! You totally are a princess 💗 remember God loves you SO MUCH and He sees you just the way you are and He loves you tremendously ❤️❤️❤️ when you see these flowers remember you are loved!

Princess Aubree's birthday wish of celebrating with her cousins in California came true!!

*"The most profound vehicle for passing on truth is relationship." ... "Discipleship= truth + relationship. Have you ever considered that God has arranged your relational world for a purpose? Everyone from the person who cuts your hair to your best friend is part of your life for a reason."...

"As Christians, we don't have secular relationships that are completely isolated from our spiritual purpose and calling. All our relationships are divinely appointed and have the potential to be missional. A missional relationship is a relationship that God uses to do His work in one or both people. We strive to fulfill the Great Commission within our relationships when we share Jesus's love and challenge one another to follow Him."...

and

"What makes them missional is our intentionality to be used by God to demonstrate His love and truth."

Let us be like Princess Kristina. Let us enter into our everyday relationships and demonstrate God's love and truth, there.

THE HARVEST IS PLENTY, SISTERS.
